Wish list

Furiously saving for a 5 week honeymoon means no lavish spending on clothing...but I like to torture myself. Today while I wishfully dreamed of the dresses I would buy for my friends engagement party I stumbled across the beautiful designs of Rose and Ruby. All so dreamy and fun, perfect for a party or a wedding. The 1st and the last would be my pick.

Love it Love it

Love this, great great, great colour, great accessories.

This is the colour I want for my BM. The bracelet is an interesting idea as well, formal but casual, I could do something like this for the wedding. Would give me that relaxed, formal, playful, not overly planed up together took, might be a bit more me than what I have been looking at.

Great Idea

I got all the Bridesmaid and groomsmen gift this week. My BM read the blog so I'm not going to say what they are (its a surprise) but I'm really excited - something I would really love to get as a BM gift. Better yet I didn't think I was going to be able to afford them but when I went shopping the other day I noticed everything was on sale. So I scored a bargain and  crossed something else off my list.

I'm back

I've got a few things ticketed off the list.

I've resolved my bridesmaid colour, originally I wanted a neutrals, like tans, mushrooms etc, but since C will be wearing a grey suit it wouldn't match. So I decided I'd use a range of one colour. I came up with 2 options, either light greys tinted either with blues or purples or Yellows, light yellows. I wanted to make sure there was a difference in colour between the girls and boys. All the greys I could find are bit darker than I'd like and would leave all the girls and boys looking similar and me this lone light, white figure. So I'm going light yellows. A little bit scary as I didn't want them to look like they are playing dress ups in brightly coloured cloths.
I found this picture and hope to get colours similar to this - just need to find the material.

And the girls will all be wearing different dresses too so nothing will be too matchy matchy.

dresses dresses and more dresses

I went bridesmaid dress shopping today with my sister. My 3 sisters are my bridesmaids, all being very different people I had thought they would all pick a dress they liked and we would get them in the same colour. As they are paying for the dresses I wanted them to have something they like and would wear again. Early on 2 of my sister found dresses they like. My little sister found this Wayne Copper Dress.

One of my older sisters found this dress from Cue

While we where out I found a dress I loved, turns out that the 3 girls all liked the dress as well so we might have found the dresses 1st time out, that was easier than I thought.

These pictures don't show the colours very well, its is dark blue and dark red. Still have to see if we can find the dress in the right size for my oldest sister, we'll see how we go. Still have the option of getting different dresses.
