Thinking of home

I'd love this lamp in my home. Simple and style, I really like this vintage lamp. Not sure 100% about the colour for the lamp shade, might be a little dated, I know its vintage everything is dated but like vintage things that are made modern - if you get my drift, but love the shape.

moving on out

C is moving this week, closer to me, yeah team. C and I have always live at least 30min away from each other, it hasn't been easy and after 8 years the travel is start to get old, so its supper exciting that he will now be living on a few short minute from my me, I can walk to his house. Yeah

The original plan was for C to move in with me before the wedding so we weren't paying heaps of rent while we were on the honeymoon, but the house it a little crowded at the moment and he definitely wouldn't have the quite he need for study, so he'd going to say with my sister and her husband until the wedding. We'll figure out what we do after the wedding later.

So busy week ahead, but its all for the greater good - more honeymoon spending money.

Esty Love

I dream of a place to call my own. C and I have been thinking more and more about the home will we have together, and what we will fill it will. I hope it will be filled with pieces like this, simple and not over worked.

I know that at some point I will defiantly have a light something like this. Oh for a house of our own and all the pretty things I could do with it, I will have it one day.

Success

Things are hectic at the moment so this is just a quick one to show off my success. After the last amussing attempt at creating a vase I've had success. Dad and I pour a vase on Sunday and it looks really cool. We still have a few little kinks to work out but for the most part we have it sorted and can get started on making the rest. YEAH team.

I just need to do some sanding and polishing.

I love this lamp, I've been on the hunt for an affordable lamp like this for the study forever. It good work in perfectly with my whole vision for the room.

Bit over it today

Bit over all the planning today - working to a budget seems to be getting the better of me and I don't want to look at anymore things I can't afford. So I've taken the day off and I'll start fresh tomorrow

But I was cheered up when my friend from 7 year wedding posted a photo from the Donna Hay general store, and they have the knit ceramics that I featured in must have post earlier this month. I didn't think you could get them in Oz. Now I really must have one.

I need to spend more time in second hand stores. So many great pieces. C and I need almost everything - we aren't living together until after the wedding and we have a lot of furniture we are going to have to buy.

New Old stuff

A friend of mine just bought the cutes old house and is in the process of doing it up as we speak. I went over the other day to have a look and feel in love with some of the origin details, which I'm happy to say they are retaining. Such a great place and can't wait to see what it looks like after they finish. (Not the best Photos but you get the idea)

This detail on the roof in the hallway is great. I wasn't able to get photos of them all but most rooms have the original plaster work in perfect condition.

I love all old kitchen items, and this oven and stove top is no exception, (the oven even has a working rotisserie) 

This is so cool. Who doesn't want a padded kitchen counter.

Must have

Must have ceramics, alyssaetting on etsy has some amazing ceramic work. They don't ship to Australia but I love these pieces and would really like to find someone selling them in OZ.

Saw these guys on a TV show the other day about green furniture, instant love, so beautiful and every piece is unique.
